It made me an important person because a prolific author and Ph.D. was willing to talk to me. It demonstrates social proof by showing that he is not the first person I want to interview. I'd like to ask a few questions about your book, briefly mentioning its content, and maybe a few questions about him and the topics he cares about. Reciprocity and rapport are built on this. I offered to promote him in exchange for some of his time. I brought up topics he Phone Number List cared about, which showed that I understood. First of all, I am a science blogger, which in itself proves that there is some degree of similarity between the two of us. My words made it clear that even though I wasn't an expert like he was, I had a real passion for what he was doing. (BTW, you probably already know this, but I was fascinated to learn news that he would find interesting.) A little more reciprocity and rapport. I specifically found a piece of news and realized he might find it interesting, which he did. I gave him something he didn't ask for, and I demonstrated that I cared enough about the subject to find information about it myself. Can you answer a few questions? I directly asked him to commit to answering a few questions. This wasn't the only marketing move we made for this client, so I can't say whether this single strategy would lead to undeniable success.
